Professional trimming - the key to a healthy and aesthetically pleasing coat

What does the trimming procedure look like?

Trimming is a gentle process of removing dead hair to allow for healthy new hair growth. At our salon, we take care to perform the procedure precisely so that your dog’s coat is smooth, aesthetically pleasing and healthy. The trimming process includes:

✔️ Assessment of the condition of the coat – we determine whether the dog requires a full trim or only partial removal of dead hair.
✔️ Removal of dead hair by hand or with specialized tools – painless and precise.
✔️ Brushing and smoothing the coat – for optimal visual effect.
✔️ Bathing after the treatment (optional) – to remove any remaining dead hair and refresh your pet’s coat.

Benefits of trimming - why is it worth it?

Healthy skin, shiny coat and greater comfort for your dog

Regular trimming avoids many skin problems, such as itching, irritation or excessive shedding. Rough-haired dogs have a specific hair structure that does not fall out on its own, so manual removal of dead hair:

✔️ Prevents excessive shedding and reduces the amount of hair in the house.
✔️ Helps skin regeneration and promotes healthy new hair growth.
✔️ Enhances the natural look of the breed, making the dog look well-groomed and elegant.
✔️ Increases your pet’s comfort by eliminating the sensation of itching and excessive heat during the warmer months.

Before and after the procedure - what to expect?

Trimming effects and comfort of your pet

After a professional trim, the dog not only looks better, but also feels freer. The coat is lighter, more breathable and does not get tangled, and the skin breathes better. The treatment makes the dog have more energy and is less prone to overheating, which is especially important in the warmer months.

Before the procedure - how to prepare the pet?

Do not bathe your dog before visiting the salon, as a dry coat is easier to trim. A short walk is also recommended to help your pet relax before the procedure. If your dog has extremely sensitive skin, it’s worth informing the groomer – we will adjust the trimming technique to make it as comfortable as possible.

After treatment - how to take care of your dog's coat?

After trimming, the skin may be slightly sensitive, so it is advisable to avoid long walks in full sun or humid areas immediately after the procedure. Regular combing will help maintain the trimming effect for longer and prevent excessive accumulation of dead hair again.
