Professional claw clipping - safe and stress-free

What does claw trimming look like in our salon?

Many pets are not fond of having their claws trimmed, so at Styl-Futrzak we make sure that the procedure is calm, stress-free and painless. We use specialized groomer’s pliers, which allow for precise shortening of claws without the risk of damaging blood vessels.

The claw trimming process includes:

✔️ Claw inspection – we check the length and condition of the claws to determine how much can be shortened.
✔️ Trimming with professional tools – quick, safe and tailored to the length of the claws.
✔️ Tip filing (if necessary) – to keep the claws smooth and not snagged on the ground.
✔️ Final assessment of the condition of the paws – we check the pads and skin between the toes to make sure everything is in top condition./.

What are the benefits of regular claw trimming?

Healthy paws and comfortable daily mobility

Claws that are too long can cause abnormal pressure on the paws, leading to pain and joint problems. Regular trimming helps:

✔️ Prevent claws from growing into paw pads, which is painful and can lead to infection.
✔️ Protect furniture and floors from being scratched by sharp claws.
✔️ Increase walking comfort, especially on hard surfaces where long claws can cause slippage.
✔️ Reduce the risk of accidental scratches, both to the owner and to other pets.

Before and after the procedure - how to prepare your pet and what to do after the visit?

What is the result of professional claw trimming?

After the procedure, the claws are shortened to the appropriate length, allowing the dog or cat to move freely and comfortably. The lack of excessive claw length reduces pressure on joints and paws, which has a positive effect on the overall condition of the pet.

Before the procedure - how to prepare the pet?

Before the visit, it’s a good idea for the pet to be relaxed, preferably after a short walk or playtime. If your pet tends to be stressed during claw trimming, it’s a good idea to get him accustomed to the touch of his paws and the pressure on his claws beforehand, which will help him go through the procedure more calmly.

After surgery - how to take care of your pet's claws?

Once the claws are trimmed, we recommend regularly checking their length every few weeks to avoid excessive growth. It’s also a good idea to make sure the claws are properly grounded, such as walking on hard surfaces to help shorten the claws naturally between treatments.
